Dr. Jorge Chavarria

Born in El Paso, Texas, and raised in Mexico, Dr. Jorge Chavarria acquired his education from the University of Veracruz in 1993. After receiving his degree in Veterinary Medicine, he obtained his certification by the American Veterinary Medical Association and license by the Texas Board of Veterinary Medicine Examiners.  Post graduation, Dr. Chavarria has concentrated on his practice and professional development in small animals. This includes both preventative and internal medicine, with particular interest in soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. Part of his professional development includes the presentation of the thesis “Tick born Zoonosis”. The success of his thesis assisted him in earning his degree. Dr. Chavarria is continuing his education by taking intensive courses on both orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, endoscopy and internal medicine.  When Dr. Chavarria can take time off from his busy schedule, he follows his daughter’s sports schedule and has two dogs, a Golden Retriever, and a Shih Tzu .  Dr. Chavarria has an overall 30 years of experience in small animal medicine to his accreditation.  

Dr. Darlin

Dr. Valerie Darlin was born and raised in El Paso, Texas.  She attended Montwood high school and the University of Texas at El Paso.  She attended Ross University of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2010.  Shortly after graduation she moved to Houston Texas where she practiced Small Animal Medicine for 5 years.  When a job opportunity opened up in Denver, Colorado, she and her family moved to North Denver for 2 years, however she always had a drive to return to her hometown.  In 2016, Dr. Darlin decided to make the permanent move back to El Paso Texas.  Dr. Darlin joined Far East Animal Care Center in 2017 and has enjoyed working with us ever since.  Her passions include internal medicine and preventative care.  Outside of work, Dr. Darlin enjoys traveling, watching her boys play sports, cycling and running.  She was recently promoted to Medical Director and is excited for her new role at Far East Animal Care Center. She also has 5 dogs.  A Bernese mountain dog, a french bulldog, 2 dachshunds and a working German shephard that she loves very much.

Dr. Vasquez

Dr. Vasquez was born and raised in El Paso, Tx.  He is a graduate of Andress High School and the Ross School of Veterinary Medicine.  After he graduated from Ross in 2012, he practiced surgery and emergency medicine in College Station, Texas.  In 2013, Dr. Vasquez and his family decided to relocate back home to raise their young family in the beautiful city of El Paso.  Dr. Vasquez and his wife; a Nurse Practitioner, have three sons, including a set of twins.  They have two dogs, a Shih Tzu and a Labradoodle.  When Dr. Vasquez is not working, he enjoys spending tine with his family and watching or playing all types of sports with his boys.   

Dr Gutierrez 

Hi I'm Dr. Alexandra Gutierrez! I am an El Paso native! I graduated from Eastwood High School, UTEP, and Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine with my clinical year at Oklahoma State University. During my veterinary studies in the Caribbean I participated in coral reef research, an externship to South Africa, and enjoyed helping the local community. I absolutely love all things cows! I also have a passion for pocket pets, dogs, cats, and wildlife. I enjoy running, reading, watching movies, dancing, and dining out with family and loved ones. Far East Animal Care Center has been an incredible place for me to expand my knowledge, skills, and outreach towards the Sun City ! 

Dr Madrid 

Dr Jesus Madrid was born and raised in the city of El Paso Texas. He attended Eastwood High School, then transitioning to the University of Texas at El paso to study biomedical sciences. He then got accepted into Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine where he finished among the top of his class. Dr Madrid finished his clinical year in the University of Florida. His interest in the field of medicine is emergency medicine and oncology. In his spare time he likes to play video games, watch anime, take long drives and play with his four dogs, Molly, Zuzi, Yakira and Komy.

Dr Brandi 

Hello! I grew up in southwest Oklahoma on an exotic animal ranch. I earned a bachelors in biology with a minor in chemistry from Cameron University on a dance team scholarship. I attended Veterinary school at Ross University school of medicine. I completed my clinical training at Tuffs Cummings school of Veterinary Medicine. I have an interest in exotic animal medicine and pathology. I have three pets, Rocket a three legged cat and ghost and a Beta fish. In my free time, I like live music and trips to the beach.
